Teba has a strong connection with Robert the Bruce - First King of Scotland. His knight SIR JAMES "BLACK" DOUGLAS fought a memorable battle here in 1331 against the Moors. It was a history making event and believe it or not the battle was fought on the plains below La Calera. Every year in early September, an event called 'Douglas Days' is held in Teba which last year attracted 3000 people, including the British High Consul. We had the pleasure of a group from the "40 Bowman of Douglas" staying here.
