La Calera -   "A Taste of Real Spain"

Welcome to La Calera, The 'Limekiln House', a lovely, recently renovated finca, providing self-catering accommodation with 4 beautiful individual apartments overlooked by Teba castle.

The position of the house is truly stunning, commanding the most spectacular, panoramic views across the countryside with its rolling olive groves, to the mountains in the distance.

La Calera sits on its own, therefore it's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility broken only by the bells of passing goats.

However despite the house having no neighbours we are not cut off or in the middle of nowhere.  We are just on the edge of the village of Teba, which is just a 5 minute walk from the house.  Within the village you will find all you need - several tapas bars and restaurants, banks, pharmacy, small supermarkets and bakeries.  We also have a castle, a museum and an open air, olympic sized swimming pool with restaurant, open during the summer months.

Each of our apartments sleeps up to four people.  However if you want to holiday with friends or family, our apartments are ideal accommodation for larger groups who may want their own space.

On arrival at La Calera you can immediately enjoy a much slower pace of life and feel yourself  unwind.  Come and relax  on our large terraces and cool off in the pool, followed by watching the sun go down with a cold beer and maybe a barbeque.

A holiday in Teba is worlds apart from being on the Costa del Sol.  Here you will experience an authentic Spanish rural village and its way of life.  A visit in April, May or August may coincide with one of Teba's festivals. It is however, only 50 minutes drive from Malage airport and  1.5 hours from Granada, Seville and Cordoba. 

In and around Teba there is something for most types of holidaymaker.  Only 15 km is Ardales Natural Park, which has 3 beautiful turquoise lakes, nestled in pine covered mountains.  Here you can enjoy walking, mountain biking and birdwatching.  Fishing is also very popular.  The lakes are perfect for swimming (warmer and calmer than the sea!) Pedaloes and sunbeds can be hired. You can take a picnic or use one of many purpose built barbeque areas.  There are also 4 lakeside restaurants offering good food and excellent views.

Malaga is our nearest airport into which all the budget airlines fly from the U.K. however for even cheaper flights look at flights into Seville airport with Ryanair from Bristol, Dublin, East Midlands, Liverpool, Gatwick and Stanstead.
